Citizens Advice Bureaus

NSBS partners with Citizens Advice Bureau, working at various CAB offices on the North Shore and around Auckland to offer confidential and non-judgemental advice and support with budgeting, debt problems and saving for a secure financial future. Citizens Advice Bureaus also refer clients to the NSBS office in Takapuna for financial capability expertise.

The partnership between NSBS and Citizens Advice Bureau is vital for the community. It allows us to offer free financial advice and support. Whether you need help wiping your debt, or have questions about your rent or mortgage payments, or want help with saving, our dedicated financial mentors can guide and support you with all financial issues, such as:

 

  • Getting out of debt and working with creditors
  • Managing credit card repayments and late fees
  • Saving for a house deposit and balancing mortgage payments
  • Dealing with bankruptcy
  • Helping with social welfare benefits and utility bills
  • Setting up for digital banking in a cashless world
  • What to do if you’re about to lose your home or can’t pay your rent
  • Setting and sticking to a budget
  • Dealing with payday loans and buy now, pay later repayments
