Youth

NSBS believes in meeting the needs of young Kiwi school leavers by offering financial mentoring and supporting them into financial independence, resilience and employment preparedness.

NSBS is committed to fostering financial capability among Kiwi school-leavers to provide money skills and knowledge for employment preparedness. NSBS financial mentors provide valuable budgeting skills, employability tools and empowerment opportunities.

Our BFC programme offers key skills to young school leavers: from those going on to tertiary study or jobs, to those disengaged in employment and education and who need encouragement and empowerment for a first job or apprenticeship.

We work with government employment schemes and school-leaver programmes to raise young people’s financial knowledge and empowerment.

Our mentors enhance our younger clients on their journeys of financial capability. We prepare them for work, tertiary education, or apprenticeships and give them a healthy start in the world with a positive financial future.
