Māori and Pasifika

NSBS chooses to build the financial capability of Māori and Pasifika, and we work closely with Māori and Pasifika healthcare partners and community organisations, and incorporate tikanga Māori and cultural values into our financial literacy services, so that we can deliver better financial futures for Māori and Pacific peoples.

Raising Māori and Pacific peoples’ financial capability skills and security will significantly benefit and improve their economic, cultural and social wellbeing. NSBS continues to improve the outcomes of Māori and Pacific Island clients and whānau and meet their holistic financial mentoring needs of integrating families and communities.

Through our BFC programme and our experienced NSBS financial mentors, we raise Māori and Pacific peoples’ financial capability skills and their financial security to benefit and improve their economic, cultural and social wellbeing.

Our mentors empower and enhance our clients on their journeys of financial capability. We work with Māori and Pacific Island organisations and employment schemes, and where possible, offer Māori and Pacific Island mentors to clients who feel more comfortable with one.
